Today's perry pull is, first of all, a fabric that goes well with any yarn . However, there are features that make it easier to stab and have a different perspective, which I will tell you about later.

◆Impression of Perry Pull (according to Satonobo research)

My first impression when I picked up Perry Pull was that it resembled New Congress. However, when we tried stitching with various threads, we found that while New Congress' threads are compressed by air-containing threads or thicker threads , Perry Pull's threads can be used even with thicker threads to stabilize the placement of kogin threads , etc. It was found that the characteristics are different.
As I mentioned in my recent article on Lucian's Congress , when it comes to fabrics where the weaving threads move, I get the impression that the fabric is completed by kogin-zashi (the fluctuations in the weaving threads are eliminated). Considering that the amount of vertical shrinkage varies depending on the fabric, you may want to cut the fabric larger or expand the area to be embroidered with Kogin-zashi . I often make book covers, so I wanted to be more aware of this in the future.

⚪︎Other thoughts
Although it was a soft and gentle cloth, the tightness of the weaving threads and the adhesion of the glue were just right, making it easy to embroider. The movement of the warp threads was appropriate, and I was able to enjoy a comfortable stitching experience with all threads . I also feel that this fabric is recommended for beginners because the grain is easy to see and the presence of the kogin thread etc. is clearly visible.
I think the way the thread looks is a matter of preference, but with Tsukiyano Kogin thread, the 10 threads gave a more dignified impression than the 8 threads. Also, the fluffy threads that fall apart easily, such as Olympas and Matalbon (embroidery thread), look even more fluffy and beautiful, and I think this is a fabric that takes advantage of the advantages of thick threads .
